CODE OF ETHICS

Code of Ethics

The International Journal of SocioHuman Multidisciplinary Research (IJSMR) is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics, academic integrity, transparency, and responsible research practices. All authors, reviewers, editors, and the journal are expected to uphold the following ethical principles.

01 — Authors' Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, accurately presented, and have not been published elsewhere. All sources, data, and contributions must be appropriately acknowledged.

02 — Originality & Plagiarism

Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and other forms of academic misconduct. Proper citation and acknowledgment of previous work are required.

03 — Authorship

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made a substantial contribution to the research, manuscript preparation, or scholarly work. All listed authors should approve the final manuscript.

04 — Research Integrity

Authors are responsible for ensuring that research is conducted honestly and in accordance with applicable ethical and professional standards. Where applicable, ethical approval and informed consent should be obtained.

05 — Reviewers' Responsibilities

Reviewers should provide objective, constructive, and confidential evaluations. They should disclose any potential conflict of interest and should not use unpublished information obtained through peer review for personal or professional advantage.

06 — Editors' Responsibilities

Editors should evaluate manuscripts fairly and independently, based on academic quality, originality, relevance, and scholarly merit. Editorial decisions should not be influenced by an author's identity, affiliation, nationality, gender, or other unrelated factors.

07 — Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors should disclose any financial, professional, personal, or other relationships that could potentially influence the publication or review process.

08 — Corrections & Retractions

IJSMR is committed to correcting the scholarly record when significant errors, ethical concerns, or research misconduct are identified. Corrections, retractions, or other appropriate actions may be undertaken when necessary.

09 — Confidentiality

Manuscripts submitted to IJSMR and information obtained during the editorial and peer-review process must be treated as confidential and should not be disclosed to unauthorized individuals.

10 — Ethical Commitment

IJSMR encourages all members of its academic community to uphold honesty, transparency, accountability, respect, and integrity throughout the research and publication process.

IJSMR reserves the right to investigate suspected ethical violations and take appropriate action in accordance with established scholarly publishing practices.
