AUTHOR GUIDELINES
Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
Authors are requested to prepare manuscripts according to the following guidelines to facilitate an efficient editorial and peer-review process.
1. Language
Manuscripts must be written in English using clear, precise, and professional academic language. Authors are responsible for ensuring appropriate grammar, spelling, and overall language quality.
2. Page Format and Layout
Manuscripts should be submitted as Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) files using the following formatting requirements:
- Paper size: A4
- Margins: 1 inch on all sides
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size: 12 pt
- Layout: Single-column
- Maximum length: 30 pages
Tables, figures, charts, and images should be placed in the manuscript in the order in which they are cited in the text. Additional page charges may apply to manuscripts exceeding the specified length, in accordance with IJSMR policy.
3. Manuscript Title
The title should be concise, informative, specific, and representative of the content and scope of the study. Avoid unnecessary abbreviations and overly lengthy titles.
4. Author Information
The manuscript should include the following information for all authors:
- Full name
- Institutional affiliation
- Email address
- Contact number
The corresponding author must be clearly identified and will be responsible for communication with the editorial office throughout the submission, review, and publication process.
5. Abstract
The abstract should not exceed 300 words and should provide a concise summary of the study, including its purpose, methodology, key findings, and conclusions, where applicable.
Authors should provide up to seven keywords immediately after the abstract. Important acronyms should be defined at their first occurrence.
6. Introduction
The Introduction should clearly establish the background, research problem, objectives, rationale, and significance of the study. Relevant literature should be appropriately cited.
7. Materials and Methods
This section should provide a clear, detailed, and transparent description of the materials, methodology, research design, procedures, and analytical techniques used. Sufficient information should be provided to enable appropriate reproducibility of the research.
8. Results and Discussion
The Results and Discussion may be presented as separate sections or combined into a single section, depending on the nature of the manuscript.
Results should be presented clearly and objectively, while the Discussion should interpret the findings in relation to relevant literature, previous research, and the objectives of the study.
9. Acknowledgments
Authors should acknowledge relevant funding agencies, grants, institutional support, technical assistance, or other significant contributions that supported the research or manuscript preparation.
10. References
References should be cited consistently throughout the manuscript and listed according to the order of their appearance in the text, using the citation style required by IJSMR.
Examples of in-text citations include:
- Single author: (Smith, 2020)
- Multiple authors: (Smith et al., 2020)
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all cited references are accurate, complete, and included in the reference list.
11. Publication Fee
For manuscripts accepted for publication, the applicable Article Processing Charge (APC) will be payable in accordance with the current IJSMR Publication Fee Policy. Any applicable waiver or fee reduction will be considered separately and will not influence the editorial or peer-review process.
12. Proofreading and Final Publication
Following acceptance and production, page proofs will be provided to the corresponding author for final checking.
Authors should carefully review the proofs for typographical, formatting, and factual errors and return any required corrections within the specified timeframe. Following the completion of proof correction, the editorial and production team will finalize the manuscript for publication.
